Home Inventory Professional Certification

Our certification for Home Inventory Professionals is another industry first created by The Inventory Institute.

Although many Inventory Professionals advertise being certified, unless they are listed in The Inventory Institute’s directory, their certification is most likely for another field, unrelated to Home Inventory, or does not exist.

Since 2009, The Inventory Institute has offered a certification program for Home Inventory Professionals. In the three years since launching the certification program, other questionable industry certification programs begun to appear, yet ours remains the most respected and trusted certification in the industry.

We met a professional who, when pressed, admitted they were qualified to advertise they were ‘licensed and certified’ because they had a state driver’s license and a professional certification in an industry completely unrelated to Professional Inventory in any way. Why is this important? Because we know that Inventory Professionals have access to clients’ homes, valuables, financial information, and most importantly family. Along with our members, we passionately believe the customer should be as savvy and educated as possible.

Unlike other certification programs, ours is not a mere training or a seminar. It is designed as a way for the experienced Home Inventory Professionals to showcase their experience, ethics, and principles. Like other nationally accepted industry certifications in related fields, the certification’s  application and screening process includes submission of three real-world third-party Home Inventory reports, documented square footage, and an in-depth interview process with The Inventory Institute’s  Advisory Board.

After successful completion of the certification program, the use our professional designation is encouraged to demonstrate commitment to the profession and industry.

The certification program costs $595. Payment plans are available. Visit The Inventory Store for more details or email us at info@TheInventoryInstitute.com.
